Ozleworth Bottom - 14th April 2009

Kate and David recommended this, eight and a half miles of 'undulating' countryside. It was so impressive, all the way round, that it is unquestionably the next faculty walk. Of course we won't be in time for lambs...

... but that also means we won't find any more dead ones like we did on this path two minutes after this picture was taken.

Incredibly posh farm and county house at Ozleworth, where we ate cheese and tomato sandwiches on the graves of the ancestors...

Geoff Mullett: 'the irregular, hexagonal tower is the only one in the country that stands in the middle of a church. The oldest structures are the tower and chancel which are early 12th century...'

Apart from making this the faculty walk, we're also hoping to do this in the winter, when the views could be even better.

Last two photos are more lambs, are Margie at the end of the walk, above the valley climb which forms an interesting and challenging end to the walk.
